![]() Don't connect stations individually to the main line when they are so close to each other. Another way to look at it would be to think of one really long station with four tracks, but short platforms only at either end on two tracks each corresponding to either coal mine, then you'll learn you don't really need four tracks and can make it more efficient. Lay tracks beside each of those stations (to look like additional platforms but without the platform itself, meant for trains concerned with the other station to pass). You could make those two stations roll in roll outs, make the trains go in a circle. I rather not make more station tracks just for those moment, seems like a waste. ![]() The problem is when a couple of trains break and I end up with 6 or 7 strains all trying to unload their goodies. Usually the 18 trains feeding it behave timely and only ever use up 2 or 3 station tracks. The other heavy-traffic spot is the power plant station. Any tips or ideas on how to make this proper? I just got the hang of path signals yesterday so all the trains make safe merges but probably in a super inefficient way. Trains have end up stopped here all the time and it can end up in ugly 12-train traffic jam. The worst is the north junction where 4 stations merge. Right now I have 3 trains for each coal mine. I managed to keep the tracks neat this time, sticking to straight lines and branching off as necessary. It has 6 coal mines supplying one power plant. I've been playing for a couple of days and have set up a coal industry in my latest map. openttdcoop - large scale, advanced network and infrastructure projects. To get your mittens on some flair, please contact us from the account you want flaired with appropriate proof of your identity.
